Children’s Poetry Contest

The Florida Heritage Book Festival is proud to announce the first ever annual Children’s Poetry Competition. This year’s theme: Florida’s Natural Resources. Any students grades 6-12 have the opportunity to submit an original poem about natural resources in Florida for the chance to present it at the Festival’s Finalist Ceremony and win a trophy and cash prize.

How to apply:

Submit a completed poem about Florida’s natural resources and email it to fhbookfest@gmail.com on or before August 25, 2017 in Word or .PDF format. Electronic submission only: paper copies will not be accepted.

In the email, please include the name, age category of participant, title of poem, address and their current school. Submissions* should be no longer than one page.

*By entering the FHBF Poetry Contest, the applicant/s and their parent/s understand all submissions become property of the Florida Heritage Book Festival and will be considered for print/video publication on the FHBF website or Facebook page.
