Children’s Poetry Contest

The Florida Heritage Book Festival is proud to announce the first ever annual Children’s Poetry Competition. This year’s theme: Florida’s Natural Resources. Any students grades 6-12 have the opportunity to submit an original poem about natural resources in Florida for the chance to present it at the Festival’s Finalist Ceremony and win a trophy and cash prize.

How to apply:

Submit a completed poem about Florida’s natural resources and email it to fhbookfest@gmail.com on or before September 8, 2017 in Word or .PDF format. Electronic copies are highly encouraged but poems may be returned by USPS or dropped off at any St. Johns County Library location and bookmobile.

In the email, please include the name, age category of participant, title of poem, address and their current school. Submissions* should be no longer than 24 lines.
